Hi, and first and foremost, thanks for reading!  This blog is meant to inspire and motivate.  This time of year, people are usually starting to slow down on their fitness goals and new year’s resolutions.  That’s because the idea of making and keeping resolutions doesn’t work for many people.

I believe that the true path to happiness and success lies within the totality of health.  If your body is healthy, you will feel good.  If your mind is healthy, you will be more successful.  And if your spirit is healthy, you will be happy.

The goal of this blog is to help you to find ways to help you incorporate a more healthy lifestyle, gradually.  Change is slow, but once a habit is established, it will keep pushing itself along.  Of course, everyone is different, so I encourage you to take things at your own pace.  If you really, truly want to change your lifestyle, you can’t rush it.

Each week, I will be posting three times.  One post will focus on mental health, another on physical health and another on spiritual health.  Some posts will be interviews, some will be tips and some will be how-to’s.  I will also be tweeting every day, so you can follow my tweets under the username @live_healthful.  Feel free to tweet to me any questions, comments or suggestions you’d like!

Now, to tell you a little bit about myself:

My name is Becca Hale, and I’m a junior journalism major at the Fredonia State University of New York.  I am a writer, music-lover, actress, singer, tree-hugger, bible-thumper.  I love to take photos and do outdoorsy things like fish and hike.  I am a desk editor for the lifestyles section of my University’s publication, The Leader.  I love to write theatre reviews, and I am a proud theatre junkie.  I love to cook and play videogames and read, and I am a coffee-addict as well as a poetry-lover.

But don’t get me wrong; I am nowhere near as put together as that makes me seem.

On the other side of the coin, I am a stressed-out, broke college student.  I’m constantly struggling to find a balance between my job, school, sleep and social life.  My love life is a tangled mess and I feel like my mind is constantly running.  So, yes; if you have come to this blog in search of help, I am right there with you.  I’m not an expert on health, but I am a good journalist.  I don’t want this blog to be bullshit.  I, too am looking for a chance to change my lifestyle, so I’d like to formally invite you to embark on the journey with me.
